Diaspora Review:

Nigerians in the diaspora (abroad) are basically Nigerians that live outside of Nigeria.

Nigerians can be found in 196 countries in the world, approximately between 5 to 15 million Nigerians are scattered across the globe with significant populations in the United States,United Kingdom, Canada,Australia,Europe and other countries.

Nigerians overseas always maintain strong ties to their motherland, most of them always support family members back home.

A research conducted by Rice University revealed that Nigerian Americans are the most educated group in the United States that contribute culturally and economically to the country contrary to the biased opinion that most Nigerians are scammers, the actual truth is that majority of Nigerians are hard working business oriented people that have an innate drive to succeed in other to make life better for themselves and their families.

There is this sense of national pride in Nigerians, especially the ones raised in Nigeria they seem to be in sync with their culture and beliefs, bearing a Nigerian name doesn’t make one a Nigerian, understanding the culture, speaking fluently at least one of the 525 native languages spoken in Nigeria, understanding the Naija way of life no matter the country you live in makes you an authentic Nigerian.

Do Nigerians In Diaspora Like To Party?

Ain’t no party like a Nigerian party, whether it’s in Moscow,Beijing,New York or even on the moon, Nigerians must definitely come through with their loud, proud, flamboyant and energetic vibes.

Naija folks in the diaspora usually celebrate Nigerian themed events such as Nigerian Independence Day parties (October 1st),Afrofest,Afronation,Nigerian Cultural Night,Naija Party or Afrobeats Concerts of any popular Nigerian artist or celebrity.
